About Timo

Timo is an international actor who trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He was born in Estonia and moved to Finland during his teenage years. Having had a career working with children, he wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a professional actor.

In Finland, Timo has studied acting in a Helsinki Theatre Academy Foundation course in Työväen Akatemia under Marjaana Kuusniemi. He has performed in various mediums as a host or an actor including the Camden Fringe, Radio Dei, Pereraadio, and the TV series "Downshiftaajat" produced by Yellow Film & TV. Timo also loves to play bass and has played in venues across the UK, Finland, Sweden and Estonia.

In 2016, Timo was accepted to the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. During the years of intense study there, Timo learned from the UK professionals connected to the industry including the RSC, BBC, and West End theatres. The studies consisted of voice, movement and acting techniques, combined with recorded media skills for audio and camera. All of this was intertwined with constant performances, mostly directed by external directors. The final year culminated in three professionally produced plays in Birmingham theatres such as the Hippodrome, and a showcase where Timo managed to sign with his first agent.

Since graduating in 2019, Timo has worked on a short film "Our Town" with Sean McGrail Films (BBC, BFI), a VICE web series with Oobah Butler, and an independent feature film "Calling the Tune" by Two Hats Films.

In the beginning of 2020, Timo signed on with International Actors London and is working towards expanding his career to Finland as well as Estonia and in the UK. Timo is also constantly involved in workshops and further training to keep himself on the sharp edge of the industry.

"Moving countries with my beautiful wife and lovely little daughter has taught me a great deal about the importance of family and the trust in my Father God.

I think it is the different cultures, the encounters made and the tools achieved in the journey, that make me the actor I am."
